A decision has been made on the lawsuit brought by American Whitewater and others against the United States Forest Service requesting that the Upper Chattooga be opened to boaters immediately. In summary, the court decided that there was insufficient evidence to make a ruling to open the waters while the previous study ordered is being conducted and dismissed the case.
